Away

Far away...where sheep graze and on nights where everything is quiet, a whisper could be heard a mile away, you might hear a wolf howl or an owl hoot. Beyond the hills, rocks jut out from the sand and in the afternoon, waves crash against them with such force you wonder how many people have died on so many of those so seemingly peaceful days. But in the evening, the sun set streaks across the water, turning it pink and seagulls fly across the water, screeching their countless unmeaningful calls that only the wind can understand. And you want to stay there forever.

Jelly Bean,
I'm getting to this late. Holy Moly! This is just beautiful and amazing! The picture fits so perfectly. I agree with Uncle Paul...it makes me feel like I am there, hearing it, smelling it, feeling it. You write so meaningfully. I love you and am so proud of you. Love, Grandma Linda
